""The German Department of Beauty in Work is a branch of the Strength Through Joy Association, its object being to enable tbe worker to enjoy bis work by performing it in beautiful and healthy surroundings. This department is responsible for inspecting workshops and working premises from the standpoints of structure and health and recommending practical improvements in conjunction with the heads of undertakings, the staff, artists, and the competent authorities, including in partioular the factory inspectors.
