JT SS HEREBY NOTIFIED that His Majesty the King has expressed the wish, through His Excellency the Governor-General, that on ARMISTICE DAY, THURSDAY, the 11th instant, there should be suspeiision of activities, including the stoppage of pedestrian and vehicular traffic throughout the British Empire , during the Two Minutes Silenee. In this • connection a short combined , Memorial Service will be hold at the Cenotaph, Russell Street, commencing at 10.55 a.m.,- and the two minutes silenee will.be observed at ll,o'clock. The time of commencement of the period of silenee will ■ be signified by one blast of the Fire Brigade's Siren, and' another blast will be given terminating the period of silenee. G. A.
