Foot-and-Mouth Outbreak at Home LONDON, Nov. 5. While smoke arises from ihe huge pyres of hundreds of slaughteved pigs and cattle — the xesult of the dreaded foot-and-mouth disease — experts are fighting night aud day in eix danger zones in Surrey, Sussex^ Ivent, and East Anglia, to stop the spread of the virus; Serious concern is felt at the effeet on the Christmas fat stoclc trade, which is already seriously disturbed. It is feared that London 's great Christmas show will be abandoned, which will cause heavy losses and great dislocation in the cattle and dairying industry.
