AlthougU ber eyesight is failing 3lowly, Mrs, Hamilton hears clearly, walks unaided, and possesses'a very keen intellect.' Mr. Arthur Selby, Auckland 's "grand old man" of dhe turf and hunting field, celebrated his 92nd birthday on Saturday. He is in posgession of all bis faculties, tends tbe garden of his cottage at Howick and plays bowls, being the president of the local club. Tbe Hon. B. C. RobbinS, M.L.C., and Mrs. Robbins, of Tauranga, will celebrate tbe 50th annivers,ary of their wedding at tho home of their Saugbter, Mrs. H, G. Reynolds, Union street, Hamilton, to-morrow. Mr. and Mrs. Robbins were married by tbe late Rev. James Treadwell, at Durie Hill, Wanganui, on November 9, 18,87, Mrs. Robbins was formerly Miss Jane Anne Ross, tbe eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ross, of Wanganui.
