A ■ siew "phase of the constant battle j between the law and the* underworld which has never before been touched upon the screen, sereens at the Municipal Theatre to-night in Universal's | thrill drama, "Armoured Car." , The picture play, which presents Robert Wflcox, Judith Barrett, Irving5 Pichel and Cesar Romero, deals with the transportation of cash and seeurities in steel-protected, heavily guarded payyoll cars, and the attempts of a ciever, ruthless criminal to rob them. Exciting t-.cer.es in thj photoplay include the dynamiting of a mountain road and the wrecking of ono of the t.rucks, . as well as the blasting of a bridge in an. attempt to secure tho treasure of another truck. The story chiefly concerns tbe romance of Wilcox, as . a truck guard, and Miss Barrett as his fiancee. The picture reveals for the 'first time the : extensive systems * and precautions used by armouTed car operators in their unique business. Second feature at the -Municipal is "Western Gourage."
