Investigation Favoured By Farmers' Union "A MATTER FOR EXPERTS" Deecribed as a "burning question," the coixtroversy regarding importation of live stock xnto New .Zealand was again briefly considered at the executiye meeting of the Hawke's Bay provincial district of the New Zealand Farmers' Union in Hastings on Saturday, Replies were received from various branches in the district favouring an investigation into the position and it waB decided to recommend the uuoption of thi'S suggestlon. "Praetically all our branches have discussed this matter," said the chairman, Mr ,R. K. Campbell, "and, with slight variations, they all appear to favour the Wairarapa proposal that the Government should conduct a full inquiry 'in'to the position." "We have heard a lot about this matter but we are still completely ignorant of the true facts, or perhaps I should Bay that we are ignorant of which are the true facts." said Mr D. A. Ritchie. "It is a matter really for experts and it seems to me that tho only way in which we shall get something delinitc.and authoritative will be to have a Government investigation. ' '
