Grant To Unemployed

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. _ The Government is giving- consideration to the payment of a. ionus to unemployed workers this Christmas. ' Tho Minister of Labour, the. Hon. H. T. Armstrong^ said yesterday that something definitely would be. done for the unemployed at Christmas. Ju'st what form it would take tho Government was now-considering. The question of what holidays* would be paid for was also being investigated.
