SHORTHAND EXAMINATIONS
An examination for shorthand speed certivcates was held by the Brabet Coinmercial College on October 13, in accordance with Pitman's examination . rules and supervised by a specially appointed committe'e. The Melbourne examinations department have now advised the following passes: — Misses Margaret Andrew and Mona Watson, 130 words per rninute; Miss Rita Brown, 120 words per minute; Misses Kathleen McSherry and Je? i Hague, 110 words per minute; ' Miss j Jean Scott, 100 words per mhiutc; ! Misses Pauline Daniel, Fayho Aherne, - Myra Pope, Audrey McDonald, Patricia Lambert and Ancy Holmes, 80 words per minute; Misses Nalda Sinclair, Margaret Alexander, Ailsa Robinson, and Isobel Ibbotson, 70 words per minute.
