Emissary Dies After CoHapsej at Training FINAL GALLOPS

CHBISTCHUBCH, Nov. 4. ' The weather was fine but-cold wheil training work started at Riccarton this morning, while, even after the Sun broke througb, tbere was a strong wind. Owlsgleam and Screamer wentj well to register 1.1 4-5 for five furlongg while Pelmet and Eabble sprinted half a mile in 49 3-5secs. After breakfast, Stolen March an^ - made Money ran half a mile in 49 3-5. Lord Nuffield and Daring Deed did fiv# furlongs in 1.2 1 3-6, Combat following over six .furlongs easily in 1.19 3-5* Tauramai strode along.freely in a works. ing gallop over seven furlongs. ON THE COURSE. Sunee was an .early worker, going with great dash to register 48 3-5 foijhalf a mile. The Bigot- was not extend,^ ed to run six furlongs in 1.18 2-5.
