"Then there ought to be," snapped the objeptor, -you won't eee me here again," The bosg shrugged his shoulders; everybody laugbed; and the stranger gpt. away without paying. He won't find many restaurants in Auckland whorp smoking is fprbidden. The commou vbjoctipu raised by nouemokors that smoking is injurious is mere poppycgck. Ifs not injurious unlesp loaded with nicotine. Then it may do a'lot of harm. But there 's no harm iu "toasted." The toasting sees to that, and Out Plug No. 10 (Bullshead), Navy Cnt No. 3 (Bulldog), Cavendish, Riverhead Gold and Desert Gold may be smoked, till further orders with impunity, and for flavour, bouquet and that pleasant feeling of * ' well-being ' ' that they give, their equals cannot be found — because. they •re uot manufactured,
