There was tclk among Jive stockbreeders at the Boyal Show yesterday o takmg steps fo convince the Government towards having the embargo against /the importation . of stock from countries infected with foot and motith disease lifted. It is likely that some action may arise from a gathering of breed society representatives to be Held in the city to-day. At the annual meeting of the Ryeland Sheep Society in Palmerston. North last evening, a resoluti.on was passed giving. continued sup^lort to the lifting of the embargo.
