M. Carter, secretary of the association. "For some time past ls 6d has been charged rcgularly in other parts, including small country towns. Acomplete agreement between the employers and employees concerning the provisions of the new award was reached in conciliation recently and the award- is about to be issued embodying increases in wages and other privileges which will result in substantially higher costs," Mr Carter continued. "Rostricted hours are also to be included."
