Boys and girls of 14 years and over will be charged ls. On Fridays and Saturdays all children, irrespective of age, will be required to pay ls "Auckland is practically the only contro in the North Island where ls 3d is charged for adult haircutting," said Mr R. M. Carter, secretary of the association. "For some time past ls 6d has been charged rcgularly in other parts, including small country towns. Acomplete agreement between the employers and employees concerning the provisions of the new award was reached in conciliation recently and the award- is about to be issued embodying increases in wages and other privileges which will result in substantially higher costs," Mr Carter continued. "Rostricted hours are also to be included."
