Reports from AmCriea state that a number of Swedish films have been aequired by the film library of the New York Museum of Mouern Art. Fotomost among these Swedish filn • is the Stiller illm Gosta Berling's Saga, with Greta Garbo, and produced in Sweden shortly before she transferred !her art to America. It is stated to be the Museum's intention to show this film. at various educational societies throughout America. Other Swedish films inclu4ed in the Museum 's film library are Do You Remeinber? a short revue.of Swedish -films from 1909 to 1926; two Victor Sjostrom films, one of 1917, The Refugees, and ithe other of 1920, T|ie Carter; another Stiller film, Mr Arue's Money, of 1919; tw Molander films of 1925 and 1931, Jerusalem and, One Night;' also a film sefies of the ancient Drottningliolm Theatre, and a short film ealled Th3 Old Town. The flxed steel ropes on the Matterhorn which have become worn by timo and weather, have all been changed— ? a diflSoult operation, as two Alpine guides had to carry the heavy steel hopes on their shoulders tq a heiglit of ever 12,000ft., passing over piany dangerous points.
