(By Teiegraph-
(Received 3, 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 2. The Daily Herald's diplomatic co#respondent says that Herr Hitler wjll demand the return of German colonies on new grounds, and that he will ,he supported by Italy and Japan as the -'prineipal allied and assoeiated Powers." The German plan is that two of the four Powers who jointly took over the German. polonies fihall express . a wish for the arrangement to be revised and that sonie^ at any rats, of the colonies should be returned to their former owners. "Pertinax," in the Echo de Paris, says, "According to information from Germay, Herr Hitler is about to declare tbat he no longer recognises the validity of Articles 119 and 127 of the Versailles Treaty under whiqh overseas territories were transferred to the viotorious Powers and will contest also the validity of the colonial and maadates granted by the League." Madame Tabouis wxites similarly in l'Oeuvre, adding that Herr Hitler will not limit himself to a, speech, but will send Notes the same night to Paris and London. She hints "that att^mpts may.be expeeted to stir up agitation in Togqland and the Cameroons, as was done in French Morocco. The French Press generally is impressed by Mr Eden's firmer tone. Signor Gayda, writing in the Giornale d'ltalia, points out that Italy took no colohies from Germany- after the War and adds that Signor Mussolini is now taking up the qtieBtioh only in the interests of general peace.
