Urging the Government to invite the self-governing States, Doininions and colonies to combine in establishing a commission to inquire into the question of access to raw materials in world markbts, colonial development and surplus populations, represcntatives of signatories to a petition seekmg an international inquiry into the cause of unrest among the nations formed a deputation to the Prime Minister, Mr. Neviile Chamberlain. The petition originated in Liverpool, and it is widely supported by all political parties. The signatories, include leading churchmen, Parliamentarians, heads of universities, Royal societies, and noted writers. Foreign loans, credits, trade restrictions and international exchange are other proposed subjects for the inquiry.
