Pig Population.
The world 's pjg population has changed "considerably during tbe past 13 months, states a receut'issue of Tbe Farmers 3 Weekly (Eng.). In addition to tbe drop of 26,000 in tbe nurnber of breeding sows in Great Britain, tbere bas also been a decreaBo of over 400,000 in Denmark. Slight increases on tbe other band, are reported from Sweden and tbe IJnitod States. HOw these changes will affect prices in thia country depends, of course, mainly on tbe Government's policy in regulating imports. Altbough Denmark and some of the otber countries supplying the British market have fewer pigs thls year, the figures available do not suggest tliat the Britkh market will be allowed to go short of bacon. Mr Morrison has given an undertaking tliat baeon imports will be regulated as beforo aceording to the homo output, and that tho bacon market will not be flooded.
