Norwalk rnessage states that, after reading from a Bible opened at a chapter of Exodus tbe story describing the birth of Moses and Pharaoh's order to slay male children, Mrs Elma McAninch, aged 35, shot dead her four sons and one daughter. Their ages ranged from two to 14 years. She then committed suicide. / Two other sons, aged 15 and 11, foun'd the bodies after returning from a party. They found also a note stating: ''I have stood all I can take. All that saves you boys is that there are no more cartridges. " It is presumed that the woman had been worried owing to her husband 's detention in connection with a theft.
