3-YEAR PARLIAMENT

-Preas Assooiation.)

Bill Before Caucus

(By Telegraph-

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Electorhl Amendment Bill has been approved by-Qabinet and will go before the Labour Party caucus tomorrow. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, stated to-day that the measure would restore the triennal Parliament, according to the pre-election promise. When asked if there would be a referendum on the question of a longer Parliamentary term, Mr, Sanage said that the Bill did not provide for that. It made alterations in the system of Maori voting which, while not plaeing the Maori on the same footing as the pakeha, would improve his position.
