He poihted out that the balance-, sheet justihed the view expressed before the last annual meeting that there should be an incteased subscription, for though this question divided the club, it was patent now that it was justified, for the adtlitional revenue had been taken up ip the increased wages paid to the paid officers. "I am hopeful that further work in the bunkermg scheme will be done during the coming year," he said. "It xs pieasing to note, liowever, that, when this js dene, ther© will not be a great deal more to d(> the following year to complete the scheme. There is still the question of Catering the i'airways to be considered and 1 look forward to the timo when it will be possible fof tbe course to be playable all the year round. "In many countriea where the fairways of the courses are watered it has been found that there is more play during the summer than during the winter. In tbe meantime, however, I agree that it is better that the club should set about reducing its IiabilitieS before embarking upon another scheme such as that." Mr. Kelly pointed out that there wero a num.ber of officers resigning this year but said that it just so happned that they had good reasons individually for takjng that step and it Was not because of . any dissettsion, He himself felt that after h; ,lding office for three years, the tiitte was ripe for a change, and he expressed his thanks and appreciation to the members and to the committee members for their assistance to him during his term of office^ " The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows President, Dr. R.
