Pilot Crawls for Three Days with Broken Leg FEEDS ON BERRIES & SNAILS (Received 1, 11.50 a.m.) GENEVA, Oct. 31. After crawling for three days and nights with a broken leg across the forests of the Juras mcuntains, a young Swiss, Michel Martin, whose glider crashed on the French- Swiss frontier, was rescued after a search by 1000 .soldiers and many civilians and aeroplanes. The glider, caught by a whlrlwind, was flung on to the top of a tree and thenqe on to rocks. M. Martin 's nose was broken and a leg w.as broken in two places. He put splints on his leg with branches and strips -of clotHing and began to crawl down the vall'ey. He was without a drink for three nights. His only food was berries and -snails.
