Mr, J, D. Quayle, secretary of the Wairoa Muuicipal Bmid, was farCwelled at Wairoa beforo liis departure f'or Napier by a large gatllering of bandsmen. Mr. J. Gallagher, on belialf of the citizens' committee, tendered Mr. Quayle best wishes and presented him with a brush and comb set from the band. Mr. and' Mrs. A. C. Twyford and family bave returned to Wairoa from Christchurch. Mr J. A. Youug, _ manager of the Public Trust Ofiice, Wairoa, has resumed duty after his holidays iu Ancklgnd. Mr H. Sands has reLui'ued to Makotuku after spending a lioliday in \Yc!Inigton. Mr a«d klrs E. D. Stevenson, of Hawera, liave returned to their home, after spending a holifiay as th© guests of Mr and Mr» E. Stewart, of Otawhao.
