' _ ■WELLINGTON, Last Night. Nine A grade and 16 B grade bands have entered for the championship eontests to be held in Palmerston North in February. Thq A grade are: Timaru Municipal, lst Battalion Auckland, Palmerston North Garrison, Wellington Municipal Tramways, Wanganui Garrison, Port Nicholson Silver, Woolston Brass, Auckland Artillery, St. Kilda Municipal. The B grade bands are: Wellington Institute, Dannevirke Municipal, Hawera Municipal, Te Awamutu Municipal, Ashburton Silver, Hastings Citizens, Lower Hutt Civic, Feilding Municipal, Takaka Citizens, Westport Municipal, lst Hawke's Bay Begimental, Onehunga Citizens, Taranaki Begimental, Wellington Artillery, Christchurch Municipal and Palmerston North City. Mr. E. P. Kerry (Sydney) will be the adjudieator, and Mr. Thomas Goodall assistant ia. the solo sections. The test music will reach all bands >on Monday.
