In the House of Commons the Colonial Secretary announccd the resignation of Lieut.-General Sir Arthur Wauchope, High Commissioner for Palestine, on the ground of ill-health. Meanwhile, according to a Press Association cable from Jerusalem, a fire attributed to Arab terrorists is sweeping the Balfour pine iorest on tne Nazareth hills. The forest was named after the statesman. The flames are rapidly spreading among 1,000,UUU trees. Tlio nre brigaues, poiice and Jewisb settlers have been called out to assist in the fight. Serious rioting believed to be part of a foreign-backed plot to overthrow French rule occurrea.at Port Lyautey, A Moslom of Itulian nationality coliected several hundred Moors who were leaving a Mosque and attacked the poiice with daggers, wounding seven. The poiice fired at the rioters, killing three and wounding four. Troops have occupied Port Lyautey, Fez and Eabat and many nationalist agitators have been arrested.
