DUNEDIN, Tlxis Day. In the Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Kennedy sehtonced Roy Drummond Bacliop, aged 38, married, to 18 months' reformative detention on eight charges of stealing sums totalling £1S4 from the Triumph Lodge of the Pi'otestant Alliance, of wihch he was formerly secretary. Mr. White, prisoner's counsel, in extenuation stated that neithcr drink nor gambling was tho cause. Aeeused, in his statement, had referred to his wife's extravagance.
