Otane Schoolmaster Farewellled. Mr A. J. Trevena, schoolmaster at Otane, who leaves for Wellington at the end of this Week, was met at a farewell party by members of the Otane branch of the Eeturned Soldiers' Association and the ericket and football clubs. A jolly timo was spent with music, song and slory. Mr G. Voyco being in ehargo of tho programme. Mr J. MacDougail presented to Mr Trevena a ease of pipes as a memento of his association witli the bodies represented aud wished him liapxiiness and success. Mr Trovena, wlio avu« accorded musical honours, 10turucd tlialiks. Greenmeadows DramaLc Girclo. The niouthlv mootiug of the Greenmeadows Drama Circle was held at the home of Mrs Logan. A short story of bunian interest by Et/iel Mannin was read, i'ollowed by h play, "Blood Will Tell." It was decided to produce this play at a later datc. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs Logan, al'ter vvbieh work for the remainder of the year was discussed. Dance at Greenmeadows.
