King George V. Memorial Fund Sir,— Now that the King George V. National 'Memorial Fund has ' been olosed, I desire to convey to the Press of New Zealand the thanks of the Government for the manner in which newspapera throughout the Dominion c.o-operated in furthering my appeal, the public response to which has now reached a total of £88,400. To those papers which in their columns opened lists in aid of the National Fund, and to ,all others for the generous manner in which they gave news^ spaco and in their editorial columns urged public response to the appeal, I tender my personal thanks for their great help in a national effort to create a worthy memorial to his Jato Majesty, Tho sympathy of the Press towards the form of the memorial will be an inspiration to those who will administer the f und.— -Y ours, etc,,
