Tke New Zealand cricket team arrived at I^remantle by tke Orontes. Tke members are fit and looking forward to tke first mafcch against Soutk Australia. Owing to tke shortness of tke stay tke team was unable to practice at Pertk. Some attended a morning scre6ning of a newsreel of tke AU BlacksSpringboks last Test. Tke New Zaalanders were entertaiu* ed at a lunckeon tendered by tke Western Australian branck of tke New Zealand Society. Mr. B. J. Kortlang, formerly a prominent crieketer in Wellington, warmly praised tke team's successes in England. Mr, H. Eowc, president of tke Western Australian Cricket Association, and a member of tko Australian Board of Control, weleomed the team to Australia. He declared tke warmest feelings of friendskip of tke Australian crieket authorities toward New Zealand, and said South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales would field the strongest possible teams agaipst the N§w Zealanders. He announeed amid the applause of the New Zealanders that an Australian team, including Bradniauj would visit New Zealand.
