(Received 26, 10.50 a~m.) LONDON, Oct. 25. The Warwickshire County Cricket Club passed a resolution of appreciation of R. E. S. Wyatt's (captain of the English ci'icket team) services but deeided that a cliange in captaincy was advisable and invited Cranmer to accept the captaincy for 1938. "I consider that Wyatt is the sec-ond-best bat in England. lf he plays for Surrey, where he has a birth qualification, he will be the county's gain," said Leveson-Gower,
Sir Charles Hyde, president of the Warwickshire club, said : ''1 shall be very sorry if Wyatt does not play for us in 1933. There is no friction between him and the committee, but I felt that the team had got int'o a groove. The breezy personality of Cranmer, who has often captained in Wyatt's absenee, and who is also an international Rugby player and Oxford blue, should ginger up the team." Wyatt's mother says: "Bob has been very hurt. He has di.ne a lot lor Warwick hire. He is over-keen to give up cricket. He has not mcnti'jned uecoining a professional." Wyatt refused to comment, as anything he said might be misunderstood.
