Applications for Tenancies An advertisement by the State Advahces Corpoiation appears in to-day's issue inv-.t 'ng applications for ten tncses o| ilic State rental hduses, The branch manager for the district staied to-day that, altliough it would be some time yet before the first house wou.d b'1 ready for occupation, it was desired that those persous wishing to apply foo tenancies of the houses to be built sbould submjb their applications at an early date to not onjy enahle each case to be investigated, but also to furnish a reliable guide as to the extent of the demand. Official advice is not available as to tho basis on which applicants will lie allottcd" houses, but it was indicated lection would be by way of a ballot tliat it was probahle that the final sewith preference to urgent cases. The branch manager added that there were no income restrictionS and thab all applicants would bp eligiblc for consideration.
