Sherenden Meeting The monthly meeting of the Sherenden Women 's Institute was held iu the Sherenden Hall, and Mrs. Boyd presided over a good attendance of members. After the reading of the aspiration, Mrs. Boyd gave an interesting report on the half-yearly federation meeting held in Napier, and speeial thanks were given to the knitters of the baby's layette. After a very enjoyable afternoon tea had been served by the hostesses, Misses Connor and N. Attwood, Mrs. Noel Beamish gave a skilful demonstration of posy-making which was watched with great interest by the memoers. Tlxo competition for the best bloom in the garden, as usual, brought forth an excellent ' number of entries and the results were: — Seniors: Mrs. Attwood and Mrs. J. Lowe, equal, I, Mrs. J. Wedd 3. Jnnior: Miss M. Attwood 3, Miss M. Matthews 2, Miss N. Connor 3. Results in the competition for the best knitted toy: Mrs. Smilley 1 and 2.
