Following the counting of additional votes for the House of Representatives, there now appears to be only two doubtful seats, both of which Labour is expected to win. Should this be the case, the state of the parties in the new Parliament will be: — United Australia Party ..A.. 28 United Country Party 16 Labour '..... 30 The sum total of the election will he that Labour will gain two seats and tbe United Country Party one and that the United Australia Party will lose three.
