W ELLIJN UTU-M , Dast JNlgHt.\ The third and concluding day of the Wellington Racing Club's spring meeting was held at Trentham to-day in fme but cold and overcast weather. The track was very fast, and a New Zealand record was established in the hurdles, the Australasian record equalled in the Roseneath Handicap, and a Trentham record established in the Harcourt Stakes. There was a large atteudance. The totalisator handled £69,079 10/compared with £61,824. For the three daya the aggregate was £160,380 10/compared with £133,562 10/- last October. Patagonia, always well placed, drew out from the last fence to win comfortably after Spender had made a bad jump. Ortyx led Amigo to the straight, where the latter ran on for an oasy win. ■ Surmount just headed Ortyx.
