WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. Brilliaut sunshine favoured the official opening of the Waipukurau Tennis Club on Saturday afternoon, the president, Mr. A. M. Johnston, welcomed. the large gathering of members and friends. The eight courts wero jn excellent order and the Yanke© tournament, which was an, added attraction to the afternoon, was won by Miss Amy Schroder and Mr. John Ormond, who were both presented with appropriate gifts. The president provided afternoon tea the ladies of tbe committee assisting him in his duties. Among those present wer: — Mr. and Mrs. Erio Stiles, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McLean, Mr. and Mrs. G.
