Mr and Mrs W. Marcel, who have been on a motor tour of the North Island, have returned to Napier. Mr L. J. Wild, B.Se., headmaster of the Feilding Agrieultural High Sehool, has left England on his return to New Zealand. Mr T. M. Hetet, Grand Master of the Auckland district, Manchester Unity Oddfellowst will be present at the meeting of the Hastings lodge on Tuesday next. Mr T. A. Moodie, superiuteudeut of Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and! recently of Napier, has been appointed a member of the Now Zealand Wool Committee. Mr D. Eric MoLeod, of Ilaupare, has been appointed judge for the New Zealand and North Island sheep dog champjonskip trials to be held at Wanganui next Juue. Mr. Ormond Wilson, M.P., is now out of hospital, but his medical adviser hr^B ordered him not to attend to Parliamentary or constituency work for a m'onth. During that timo Mr. Wilson will be convalescing, Mr. B. guzuki, editor-in-chief of the Osaka Asahi Shimbun, accompanied by Mr. C. F. Folei', of Auckland, wero visitors to Wanganui, when they, were tbe guests of Mr. Hugii C. Jenkins. A visit was paid to the Sarjeant Gallery, whieh interested the visitors. Mr S. G. DinniBs, a member Of the literary stajf of the Christchurch Press, has been appointed chief sub-editor of the Southland Times. Mr Diuniss, who is a son of Mr G. E. Diuniss, New Plymouth, wa$ formerly a member of the literary stafi of the Taranaki Herald.
