EVENING WEDDING FOR A DANNEVIRKE BRIDE
OLSEN — PATTERSON At the dannevirke Methodist Church on Tuesday evening Ian Andreas Olsen, younger son oi Mr and Mrs H. A. Oisen, of Garfieldj Norsewood, and Lola Cathryne, second daughter'of Mr and Mrs F. S. Patterson. of Dannevirke, were married by the Rev. A . Waite. The chureh was decorated by friends of the bride, and the service was fully choral, Mrg L. Bell presiding at the orgai], The bride wore a frock of deep magnolia satin, cut on empire lines, with draped sleeves, fitting tightly from the elbows and finished Avith tiny buttons, a speciai i'eature being the long graceful sunray pleated train. She wore. a magnolia embroidered veil, mounted on tiny gold leaves to form a halo, and carried a sheaf' of gilded arurn lilies. Miss Ruth Pearce, who attended the bride. wore a frock of love-bird green panne velvet, cut on the same style with "train and gold spray and tiny gold buttons on the medici collar. She wore a halo of gold leaves, and carried a sheaf of gilded lilies. Mr Maicolm Olsen, brother of the bridegroorn, was best rnan. At a recept'ion later Mrs Paterson received her guests in an ankle-lengfch frock of brown georgette and lace, with c.oatee- to match. She carried a posy of autumn shades. and 'was assisted by her daughter, Mrs N. O. W. Bell, Akaroa. The bridegroom's mother wore a frock of black iioral georgette, with
panne velv.et coatee, a black baku straw hat, and carried a bouquet in shacfes Of red ahd green. The wedding cake was made by the bridegroom's mother, and iced by Mrs W. K. Mearing, of 'Norsewood. The bridegroom's present to the bride Was a crystal set, and to tbe bridesmaid a gold armlet. When she left on her honeymoon Mrs Olsen was wearing a bottle-green tailored costume, with beige lace b.'ouse, hat, shoes and- gloves to tone, and she carried^ a croeodile handbag, The future home of Mr and Mrs Olsen will be at One Tree Point, North Auckland.
