"FftlNCE AND THE PAUPER" 44 The Prince and the' Pauper "'j screens finally to-night. Girl meets boys, and so begins one of the year's most nproarious comedy-ro-mances, Paramount ;s "I Met Him in Paris" — which stars Claudette Colbert in the type of role which she made f amous in her two previous smash coinedy hits, 44lt Happened Oue Night" and 4 4 The Bride Gomes Home. ' ' 44 1 Met Him in Paris," which also features Melvyn Douglas and Robert Young, screenmgs to-morrow at the Regent Theatre. In "I Met Him in Paris," Miss Colbert, a young American girl on a vacation in the Fiench capital, rnns into two hand3cme, romantic fellow-country-men, Douglas and Young. Both go overboard for the lovely brunette, and each stages his own idea of a whirlwind courtship, which he is certain will( sweep her ofE her feet. Miss Colbert "falls" for both, but can't get around to making up her mind which style of courtship she prefersi— Douglas* cool, matter-of-fact, never-speak-of-love technique, or Young *s impetuous affection. The romantic run-around carries the trio. from Paris to St. Moritz, winter cap;tal of the Swiss Alps, where the romantic sweepstakes continues amid glorious settlngs of ski-ing, skating and slcdding. Again Miss Colbert is forced to flee from her impetuous suitors, back to the comparative safety of Paris, where she finally turns the tables on both, in an hilarious wind-up.
