BAN ON IMPORT OF COINS
Minister Explains New Regulation WELLINGTON, Last Night. "TJnder the existing regulations the export of all coins, silver or bronze, is prohibited, while on the import side there* is an embargo placed on isilver coins onlyr," stated tlio Minister of Finance, tbe Hon. W. Nasli, in a statement on an Order-in-Council published in the Gaaette to-night, and which places an embargo on the importation of bronze coins. "The reason for this action," said Mr Nash, "is to prevent a practice which is being developed by firms in importing coins for advertisiug and other purposes."
