Red Cross Appeal for Chinese Refugees Sir, — In response to the urgent appeal by the International Red Cross Oommittee for help in the Far East, th© Joint Council of the Order of St. John and the N.Z. Red Cross Society has requested the Mayor of each town in New Zealand to open a subscription list, With a view to bringing donations within the reach of everyone, Red Cross "stickers" are being made available for sale at 2/6 each. These are for attaching to motor-cars, shop-windows, etc. No subscription will, however, be too small. As the need of the thousands of homeless and destitute refugees iu Cliina is most urgent and has been emphasised \elsewhere in these columns, it is hoped that the sum of £10,000 will be raised by New Zealand within the montli. — Yours, etc.,
