WELLINGTON, Oct. 21. The following prisoners were sentenced by Judge Reed to-day: — Charles Edward Southerwood, aged 33, labourer, indecent assault on a female at Hastings, three years' hard labourj Teki Hena, aged 42, labourer, negligent driving thereby causing death at Wanganui, oighteen months' hard labour; Hoo Apaoa McGregor, aged 20, labourer, unlawful carnal knowledge at Ruatoria, ordered to como up for senfcence if called upon within two years; DardanellesParanihi, aged 22, labourer, breaking, entering and theffc at Feilding, to como up for sentence if called upon within two years, and a pi'ohibition order to bo taken out; Edward ■Griifln, aged 60, sawmiller, forgery (ono charge) and obtaining nioney by falso pretences (tbree chargcs), two years' probation and a prohibition ] order to bo taken out; Norrnan Stanley Buehanan, aged 21, labourer, breaking, entering and theft at Wellington, two years' Borstal; Frank Froderic Boot, aged 23, labourer, assault (three eharges) and indecent assault on male (tliree eharges), four years' hard labour; Hotc Matakatea, aged 23, labourer, attempted breaking and entering with intent (Ihreo eharges), breaking and entering with intcnt (five eharges), breaking, entering and theft at Levin (soven eharges), eighteen uionlhs' re- , formative treatment.
