4 With the help of the Natioaal Art Collections Fund, the trustees of the British National Gallery have purcbased four small paintingS, Cach measuriiig about eight inches square, painted op two panels which originally formed the doors of a cupboard or, perhaps, a case for a musical inetrument. Soviet Reshuffle The Riga correspondent of The Times says that new reshuffles of highlyplaced officials include the removal of M. Antono'v Oseyenko, the former People 'ip Commissar, who in September succeeded M. Krylinko as Minister of Justice. M. Oseyenko is reported to be under arrest. It is suggested that his former recall from the consulship in Spain and appointmeut as Commissar of Justice was merely a ruse to bring him back to Russia. He previously was rnildly villified as a supporter of Trotsky.
