New Zealanders usually spend littli time in praising the merits or beautj of gotse plants. But when the Rev. L A. North, of Christchurch, was visitiiif lfingland recently he was shown, in on* particularly good private garden, 1 special plot put aside for the grqwth oi a gorse bush, states The Press. "Dc you know that in a skortj time thai bush will be a mass of gold?" tli owner asked Mr. North, and the visitoi -tiuld do nothing but counter with the question, "Do you know that in Neu Zealand that plant comes under the Noxious Weeds Act,P" England had ar advantage in one way, however, saic Mr. North. - It had many beautifui species of wild flowers growing in. profusion, and he could wish, after seeing England' s spring, that the Dominior h*d mor» w|Id flowers.
