. . ■ • ♦ . . mm ■ Attraction at Palmerston For the Royal Show, whicli is to be held at Palmerston North on Thnrsday, Friday and Saturday, November 4, 5 and 6, cash prizes totalling £2130, excluding trophies and special prizes amounting to £200, have been allotted for the various events. Friday and Saturday have been devoted to the stock section, for which record entries have been received. The gala day of the show will fall on Saturday, and the dog show on Thursday and Friday. Never before has Palmerston North combincd to hold a show of such magnitude, for not only have the usual show ovents been included, but also a number which have not yet been witnessed on a showground in New Zealand before. The schedule includes classes for light horses, ponies, Clydesdales, hunting competitions, trotting races, Roman chariot races, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs, stock judging competitions, needleworlc, pickles, cookery, preserves, farmers' butter, photography, horticultural (decorative), model aeroplanes, pliilately and many others.
