MASTERTON, Last Nigbt. Tbe inquest was held to-day conceruing tbe death ""of Mrs Isabel Jackson, who was fatally bupned in a fire at ber hoine on the morning of October 6. Tbe coroner, Mr E. G. Eton, returned a verdict of death from sbock and severe burns. Tbe evidence showed that tbe fire • , . I was caused through an electric iron being left od in mistake for a radiator. Wben tbe latter was seen to be out, it was conclucled that tbe switch bad been turued off. Tbe Jate Mrs Jackson was a wellknown and bigbly-respected residwt, at oue time being mayoress and a prominunt suciul vvorkcr.
