SWIMMING

Mahora Glub Gommittee Meeting At the wOekly meeting of the committee of the Mahora Swimming Club Mr J. C. Taylor presided over a good attendance. it was deeided to open the swimming baths oh Bunday nqxt between the houfs of 10 and 12 and 2 and 5. The opening would be in the form of a free day, no admission being charged and it was hoped that weather permittmg as many of the public as possible would take ^dvantage of this for their first swim of the season. Details in regard to the open carnival were further considered and it was felt , desirable by the majority of members to make the date a week later in view of the original date being somewhal early in the season. The carnival will therefore now be held on November 11 instead of November 4 as previously 1 arranged. The question of the purchaso of a new stop watch and polo ball was left over for consideration at a later meeting.
