KAHURANAKI LODGE
Installation of Officers At a meeting of Kahuranaki Bebekah Lodge No. 37 I.O.O.F. last Thursday in the Buffalo Hall the ofiicers were installed for the enauing term. There w^ a good attendance of inembers lodges in the district At the conclusiou of ' the ordinary business Bro. A. M. Dane, P.G., D.D.G.M. for Hawke's Bay district, assisted by his ofiicers, installed the following into their respective offices: — I.P.N.G., Sister E. Partonj N.G., Sister E. Carey; V.G., Sister J. Mclntosh; warden, Sister M. Heyward; conducfor^ Sister L. Symes; financial secretary, Sister I. Warrington; treasurer, Sister M. Smith; recording secretary, Sister B. Symes; chaplain, Sister M. Osborne; inrfde guardian, Sister I. Jillings; outside gnardian, Sister Y. Edwards; K.S.N.G., Sister M. Tayles; L.S.N.G., Sister B. Cameron; E.S.Y.G., Sister j'. John; L.S.V.G., Sister I. Appleby. The ceremony was performed in an irnpressive manner and Bro. Dane conveyed greetings and best Wishes from Grand Lodge and also congratulated the ofiicers and the lodge on the good work they were rendering. The main item of the sOcial programme was a mock marriage performed by Kahuranaki members. This was portrayed in a realistic and convincing style with all that goes to the making of a marriage ceremony even to the "breakfast" with a bountiful supply of good things. Dancing Was then enjoyed to the music of Mrs Hearne.
