GISBORNE, This Day. The death, occurred yesterday at the Cook Hospitalt Gisborne, of Mx Georgo v Ernest Erance, aged 54 years. The late Mr Franee was born in Auckland and came to Gisborne at an early age. He married Miss Dorothy Everett at Gisborne at the age of 26, and had been a resident of • this district for the past 30 years. Mr France was a prominent raemfeer of the Waterside Workers' Union, He had been ailing for the last 12 "months. The deeeascd is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs G. C. Martin; three brothers, Messrs J. R. France, of Ohakune; S. and Y. France, of Hastings, and one sister, Mrs J. Foote, of Hastings. His mother is also alive and residee in Hastings. The funeral will leave the residence of Mrs Martin, 87 Iranui street. Gisborne, for Taruheru Cemetery to-morrow, after a short service at 1.45 p.m.
