MUFTI MAY GO TO ITALY

(Received 19. 8.45 a.m.) LONDON. Oct. 18. The Daily Herald's Jerusalem correspondent reports that the Grand Mufti, who recently escaped trom Palestine to Syria, is at present under arnied guard in tho village of Lebfiunon. He is planning a visit to Italy, prosumably to seek Signor Mussolini's support to harass the British authorities in Palestine. The Mufti, before his llight, told his frieuds of his iutention of going co Italy. An Addis Ababa message says that the Ethiopian Mosleras and Arabs have telegraphed Mr Neville Chamberlain denounciug the British policy in Palestine and joiuing with their Palestine brethren iu tho rejection of the dismemberment of Palestine and its separation from the remainder of the Arab world.
