New Zealand Will Be Represented

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Prime Minister, the Et. Hon. M. J. Savage, announced to-night that he had received, tliTOugh the British Ambassador at Brussels, an invitation from the Belgian Gove "ment for New Zealand Government represcntation at the meeting, to be held. at Br—sels on Oetober 30, of the Powers signatory to tho Nine-Fower Treaty relating to China, ancl signed at Washington in Eebruary of 1922. New Zealand was one of the original signatories of tho treaty. Tho object of the meeting, said Mr. Savage, was to cxaniine, iu accordance with Article 7 of the treaty, the situation in the Ear East, and to inquire into methods of bringing the present » conflict to 'a conclusion. The New Zealand Government has aceepted the invitation and is arranging to bo represented by the F'gh Commissioner in London, Mr. W. J. Jordan.
