Considerable focd foT thought to tliose who hold opinions on capital punishment as an institutioti as well as those- who feel that circuinstantial evidence should bo entirely ruled out in capital cases is contained in Paramount's "The Accusing Finger," a new drama featuring Marsha Hunt, Robert Cummings, Paul Kelly, Kent Taylor, Harry Carey and JSernadene Hayes, which begins tomorrow at the Cosy Theatre. "The Accusing Finger" tells of Kelly, a district attorney with a perfect recoxd for convictions, who is himself enmeshed in a series of circumstances which result in his being Bentenced to die in the electrio chair. All evidence is against him and it is a Per" fecfc case. It is known that hs is in love with Miss Hunt and not with his wife, Miss Rayes, whom he was overbeatd threatening when she created a scene in a public restaurant. It is also. known tlita he was arguing with her only several moments before her body was found in her bedroom. Paramount's "Her Husband Lies." a drama of a lie that had to be told with Gail Patricls and Ricardo Corfez is tho second feature. The story concerns Cortfez, a big-tlme gambler whose wife, Miss Pa trick, gives him tlie alterilative of giving up gambling or losing her. Re gives her his word that he is through with cards, and the climax arrivee .when ho is forced to go back on his word in order to sftve his younger brother and square himself with his erstwhile assooiates.
