PAMBO THE SNAKE MAN
There arrived in Wellington by the Awatea on October 11, Pambo, one of Austraiia's outstanding snake experts with his collection of deadly Austraban snakes which includes tho venomous brown black and cnpperhead. Pambo lias had twenty years ' experience in handling venomous snakes and has beeij. bitten no less than 500 fcimes duriug that period. He claims he has an antidote that is iufallibJe and sells his eure wherever he goes in Austri^ia, thou^h New Zealand will not be requiring his curo as, fortunately, there are no snakes hero. Mueh troublo and expense wero necessary before Pambo was able to obtain the necessary permission to bring his collection to New Zealand. This, tiowever, was eventually obtained for a limited period. Pambo will be showing at the forthcoming A. and P. Show on a specially constructed raised platform from which you will, in comfort, be able to look into the pit of death where he will entertain you with his strang# and dangerous pets. — P.B.A.
